Protection for a journey

To Hecate, Keeper of the Keys and Guardian of the Crossroads,

I offer this prayer beneath the turning sky.

Walk beside me upon every road,

whether paved in light or hidden in shadow.

Guide my feet away from danger,

and let no harm find its place near me.

Lady of Torches,

shine your flame before me when the path grows uncertain.

When fear rises within my heart,

grant me courage and clear sight.

When confusion clouds my mind,

open the way that is safest and true.

Protect the roads beneath me,

the wheels that carry me,

the doors I pass through,

and the people who travel beside me.

May your hounds stand watch at unseen corners,

and may your keys close every gate through which ill intent may enter.

Let every journey end in safety,

every departure return in peace,

and every crossing be blessed by your presence.

Hecate Enodia, Guide of Travelers,

I ask for your protection through night and day,

through storm and silence,

through known roads and unknown ways.

So may your torch burn before me,

and may I never walk alone.
